Alpha

Alpha at St. Peter Catholic Church 

This summer, you’re invited to explore life, faith, and meaning in a welcoming and open environment through Alpha at St. Peter Catholic Church. 

Starting Thursday, June 11, Alpha will meet weekly from 7:00–8:30 PM. Each session includes light refreshments, a short engaging video, and small-group discussion that explore life's big questions and possibly your unanswered spiritual questions. 

Alpha is designed for anyone—whether you’re curious about faith in Jesus, returning to the Christianity after a time away, or looking to go deeper in your relationship with God. It’s a space to seek after answers for the big questions of life alongside others in a relaxed and friendly setting. 

You’re welcome to join at any point, and no prior experience or preparation is needed. Bring a friend and see what it’s all about. 

When: Thursdays, June 11 – August 20, 2026 (11 weeks) 
Time: 7:00–8:30 PM 
Where: St. Peter Catholic Church in St. Paul Outside the Walls

Dear brothers and sisters in Christ,
In the early days of American history, when new communities were springing up all over the country, groups of families used to get together for barn raisings. A farmer needed a barn even more than he needed a house. But a single farming family couldn't construct a barn all by itself - the task was too big. So, all the neighboring families would get together and pitch in, making a whole day's celebration out of it, and a new barn would get built.
Christ chose to become one of us in order to build something much greater than a barn - he is building a whole Kingdom, an everlasting Kingdom: his Church. By becoming one of us, he has made himself and his efforts dependent on our cooperation. He doesn't want to do it all himself - he wants us to help; he wants to give us a chance to build something that will last forever.
Our theme this year at St. Peter Church and School is “Build His Kingdom.” Building the Kingdom of God is a great mission for each of us to take an active role in. The Lord needs our gifts, resources and time to further His Kingdom so that all may have a chance to encounter the living God.
While this campaign is focused on Pius X High School, it will also directly benefit our St. Peter Church and School through our local goal. This means a portion of what we give will return to St. Peter, helping us meet our own parish needs to strengthen our ministries. By supporting this campaign, we are directly investing in the lives of our children, families, and future leaders of Church. Our partnership with our parish high school, Pius X, ensures that we will Build His Kingdom.
Finally, I would like to share my gratitude to all of our parishioners for their efforts and fidelity to make our campaign a success. May God bless you and your endeavors to Build His Kingdom!

St. Peter Annual Fundraiser

On behalf of St. Peter Catholic Church and School, you are invited to our annual parish fundraiser and social gathering, “Saddle Up & Sip!” on Friday, June 5th, 2026.

Join parishioners and friends for fellowship, live country music, delicious dinner, signature cocktails, whiskey tasting, exclusive live and silent auctions, wall of spirits and more!

 This event brings us together one night a year as a community to gather for a meal, socialize and fellowship. Proceeds from this event help to support the mission of our Church and School in many ways. It provides funding to make disciples through outreach, formation, and evangelization. Please consider supporting this event by getting involved and/or making a monetary gift. Ways to do this are listed below.

We use materials developed in Omaha for our small groups. These 6 week studies are designed to help participants encounter God through his word and group discussion. It's also a great way to get to know other parishioners!

Stained Glass and Mural Studies

The parish has published resources for you to encounter the living God through the beauty and art in our church.

Vern Steiner, Ph.D. wrote a comprehensive Bible study to help you encounter the light of Jesus in the Scriptures and the images of our stained-glass windows from Peter’s viewpoint.   Stained-Glass booklet
