Soli Deo Gloria

The purpose of the music ministry is to exhort, uplift and encourage the body of Christ through song and worship.

Did you know that there are more than 360 exhortations in scripture to "sing to the Lord?" Music is not only an important part of worship, but a necessary one. To sing is to connect our hearts with the Divine; to open our hearts to praising Him outside of the structures of time and space. Music allows us to express what our mouths lack the words to say.

But we can only accomplish this with your help! Do you have a musical gift? Do you feel called to serve God and your community in a special way? Do you love friendship - sharing - encouraging? Then join the musical team of St Peter - contact Mary Odgaard or simply stop by the parish office.

 Saturday, 4:00 PM Vigil Mass

The ministry team is actively seeking young adult and adult singers to help lead music for this Mass. Under the direction of Jenn Creager, this group meets every Saturday at 3:20 PM to rehearse music for the Mass. All voice parts are welcome for this group. In addition to the Saturday Mass, the choir helps provide music for Holy Days and special events (e.g. Sacraments, Easter Triduum, etc.)  Please contact This email address is being protected from spambots.  Sunday, 9:30 AM Mass

Under the direction of Joy Bartsch the 9:30 AM group serves as the main parish choir. The choir rehearses on the fourth Wednesday of the month from 7:00-8:30 PM during the school year and at 8:45 AM each Sunday morning before Mass through the whole year. This choir typically sings in four part harmony (SATB), with added instruments, descants and obbligatos to enhance the music. All voice parts are welcome for this group. In addition to the Sunday Mass the choir helps provide music for Holy Days and special events (e.g. Sacraments, Easter Triduum, etc.)  Please contact This email address is being protected from spambots.  Sunday, 11:00 AM Mass

Under the direction of Mary Odgaard the 11:00 AM group is comprised of a quartet that relies almost exclusively on sight reading. At this point in time it is expected that this group will remain relatively small. New members interested in joining this group are encouraged to join the Vigil or 9:30 AM groups first to become more familiar with the Mass repertoire.
